I have always been fascinated by the idea of including technology and machines in the creative process, especially in art forms that typically have a human’s signature approach. More specifically music videos. In the past week, two such projects have caught my eye. The first was for Kendrick Lamar that uses Deep Fake Technology to morph the artist into multiple celebrities during his verses. See how it was done here. The second is the collaboration between Danger Mouse & Black Thought for "No Gold Teeth”. The creator maps a hypnotic series of faces and tracks the performers face, obscuring it from view. Both examples are early stage entries into the mainstream. I was wondering when things like this would pop, also shout out to Ctrl Shift Face.
